Nepal is home to the Himalayas, the world’s tallest mountain range, and to living traditions that have survived for centuries. This 8-day journey brings the country’s culture, community life and scenery together at a relaxed pace.

Begin with a night at a community homestay in Panauti, sharing home-cooked meals with a Nepali family. Explore sacred monasteries such as Namobouddha and Kopan, and walk through the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley. Then head to Pokhara for a Phewa Lake boat ride and a sunrise over the Annapurna range at Sarangkot.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu → Panauti
Be welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport with a traditional khada and transfer to the ancient Newari town of Panauti. Settle into your community homestay, then enjoy a relaxed evening and a home-cooked Nepali dinner with your host family.

Day 2: Namobouddha & Bhaktapur
After a homestay breakfast, visit Namobouddha, a peaceful Buddhist pilgrimage site with panoramic views. On the way to Kathmandu, stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square to see its medieval temples, pottery streets and traditional architecture.

Day 3: Patan, Kopan Monastery & Boudhanath
Explore Patan Durbar Square, known for its fine Newari woodcarving and metalwork. In the afternoon, visit Kopan Monastery for garden views over the valley. End at Boudhanath Stupa, circling the stupa among chanting monks as the sun sets.

Day 4: Kathmandu → Pokhara
Travel to Pokhara by scenic drive or short domestic flight. Spend the evening strolling Lakeside or relaxing at a café with lake views.

Day 5: Pokhara Sightseeing
Take a Phewa Lake boat ride and visit Tal Barahi Temple on the island. Continue to the International Mountain Museum, Devi’s Falls and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.

Day 6: Sarangkot Sunrise → Kathmandu
Rise early for sunrise at Sarangkot, with views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After breakfast, return to Kathmandu.

Day 7: Swayambhunath, Durbar Square & Thamel
Visit Swayambhunath Stupa (the Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Finish with an evening stroll through Thamel for handicrafts, street food and live music.
